Black Friday pillow deal FAQs
What type of pillow should you buy?
Memory foam, microfiber, and down are three popular pillow materials. Memory foam comes in shredded or solid foams. Solid blocks are best for those with back or neck pain, while the shredded foam is generally more adaptable and softer.
Down pillows are made from goose or duck underbelly feathers and provide softness and luxury but may trigger allergies.
Typically used as a down alternative, microfiber offers a similar feel to down without the allergies. Microfiber filling is found in many top-rated pillows.
How long do good pillows last?
When used regularly, most high-quality pillows will last one or two years. Down pillows tend not to last as long as memory foam pillows, which can last up to three years.
It's time to replace your pillow when you notice reduced comfort or support, visible flattening or lumps, increased dust mite accumulation or allergic reactions, persistent odors, or permanent stains.
Wash pillows regularly to extend their life, follow care instructions, and use pillow protectors.
